Europe: Russia
Tipping is now the accepted norm in Russia. Cloakroom attendants, waiters, porters, and taxi drivers will all expect a tip. A 10% gratuity is generally incorporated in restaurants bills, but you can tip an additional 5% for good service. If no service charge has been added, tip 10% to 15% of the bill. When paying by credit card, leave the tip in cash as it's easy to miss the tip of credit card slip. Add a tip of 10% of the fare for a taxi driver. In luxury hotels in Moscow and St. Petersburg, tip the doorman who helps you with your bags 100 rubles.
