In restaurants tip 10% to 15% of the bill. Pay the waiter directly - don't leave the tip on the table. Gypsy bands playing in restaurants should be tipped 200Ft (200 forints) for the entertainment. Give the tip to the bandleader as the band leaves your table. Taxi drivers normally are tipped 10% to 15% of the fare. Offer hotel porters 100Ft per service.
