Most restaurants add a 10% to 15% service charge to your bill, and no other tip is necessary. If a restaurant hasn't, tip 10 to 15%. Don't tip the bartender in a pub. Offer taxi drivers 10% to 15% of the fare. Give porters and hotel help a tip of £1 (1 pound) per service, maids £1 per person per day. If you use the services of the hotel concierge, a £1 to £2 tip is appropriate. Tip washroom attendants 20p (20 pence) to 50p when you leave. You don't need to tip theater or cinema ushers.
