Asia: Hong Kong
In Hong Kong a 10% service charge is normally added to a restaurant bill, and nothing more is called for. Tip bellhops and room service waiters Y10 (10 yuan) to Y20 or US$1 to US$2, as U.S. currency is always welcome for tips. You may leave the small change from your fare for a taxi ride, but tipping beyond that isn't necessary. In Hong Kong you'll be charged HK$5 (5 Hong Kong dollars) for every bag the taxi driver handles.
